Biography

Alejandra Mora Mora is the Minister of the Status of Women and Executive President of the National Institute of Women (INAMU). Throughout her career she has held the position of Director of the Office for the Defense of Women within the Ombudsman’s Office of Costa Rica; Regional Coordinator of the International Federation for Human Rights as well as Regional Coordinator of the Women’s Network of the Ibero-American Federation of the Ombudsman.

Following a Law degree at the University of Costa Rica, Mrs. Mora has also a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the Distance State University of Costa Rica, and achieved a postgraduate specialization in Human Rights of Women. She is professor of Family Law at the University of Costa Rica.
