Biography
Member of the General Coordination of the National Coordinating Committee of Indigenous Women (CONAMI, for its acronym in Spanish) and Representative of the Mexico Region of the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas (ECMIA, for its acronym in Spanish).
A Púrhépecha from Pichátaro, Michoacán, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, in Primary Education for the Indigenous Environment and a Master's Degree in Social Anthropology. Co-founder of the National Network of Indigenous Women Lawyers and the Network of Indigenous Women Lawyers and Promoters for a Life Free of Violence in Michoacán, she has participated and given workshops and conferences on human rights and indigenous women's rights in Mexico and abroad.
