Biography
She is a dedicated Social Worker and Gender Specialist with over 45 years of service to the People of Grenada. Her long experience in championing the rights and empowerment of women and marginalized communities make her a reputable community figure. Ms. Thomas has led numerous initiatives aimed at dismantling systemic barriers, promoting gender-sensitive policies, and fostering safe spaces for women and girls. Her work spans grassroots mobilization, capacity building, and strategic consulting with NGOs, government bodies, and international organizations. Minister Thomas holds a Master’s Degrees, in Counselling Psychology from the University of the Southern Caribbean in Trinidad, and an MBA from Walden University in the USA. Minister Thomas also holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work Special, from the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, along with numerous certificates in a wide range of areas.
